Friends of The Royal London Hospital, established in 1979, is a charity dedicated to improving hospital amenities for both patients and staff.
Friends is made up of volunteers, hospital staff (past and present) and members of the local community. We have recently raised enough money to buy 12 new chairs for the chapel, donated funds towards a stretcher hoist for the outpatients department and thanks to the funds we have raised, we now put on twice-monthly magic and music entertainment shows for the children’s wards.
We also have a fantastic team of volunteers who run the ‘mobile trolley service’ so patients can purchase soft drinks, confectionary and toiletries from the comfort of their beds. It also means we can stop and have a chat with patients too!
We are always in need of extra help, whether it be helping out with our mobile trolley service or raising funds for the hospital.

Membership of the Friends
The annual subscription is £5, or £50 for a 10 year membership. Your membership not only helps the Friends to promote their activities but entitles you to attend various social events. One of which is the annual general meeting in October. The AGM includes a talk by an interesting speaker on a topical subject, a prize draw raffle, a bring-and-buy stall and a buffet with wine.
Please support us either by becoming a member of Friends or by making a donation.
