Administrative and Clerical - WAVE 2

This page applies to Barts and The London NHS Trust employees only. Please note we will be unable to consider any expressions of interest from external applicants.

The remaining administrative support services roles are being considered under the second wave of Performing for Excellence (PfE) A&C, the main groupings being Ward Administration, In Patient Flow and Reception.

Please read the consultation document and attend your individual staff meeting as appropriate.  This will identify whether you will need to undergo a matching or a selection process.

Matching Process

All Band 2 ward administration and reception staffs will be included in this process.

Please complete and submit the attached Matching Wave 2 A&C Vacancy Preference Form.  As part of this scheme you should only be completing and submitting one form.

How to apply for redeployment to another post at Barts and The London

Please note - Employees who are potentially at risk of redundancy through the PfE workforce review, will be able to apply for suitable vacant posts available in the Trust. 

You should have been advised to complete the Competetive Selection Wave 2 A&C Vacancy Preference Form.  As part of this scheme you should only be completing and submitting one form. 

If you are unsure of your status in the process, please speak to your line manager immediately.

How to choose the right vacancy for you

You should discuss and agree your preferences for suitable vacancies with your professional lead and/or line manager. Every effort will be made to support you to be redeployed to a post that meets your personal preferences, as well as being appropriate for your skills, knowledge and experience.

How to submit your request for your preferred post(s)

To submit your preferences for suitable vacancies, you should complete the appropriate Vacancy Preference form

Recognising that this is likely to be a stressful period for many people, the Trust is ensuring that enhanced counselling support is available to staff through the CIC employee assistance advice line, which is available 24 hours a day – freephone 0800 085 1376.      

The CiC team can provide expert advice available on a wide range of issues that can cause stress or difficulty, relating both to individuals' work and personal life. The service is free of charge for staff and completely confidential. 

Please do ensure you also talk to your line manager and feedback any further ideas or support you feel you or your teams might need as we move forward in this process.
