Professional history:

Urology Nurse Specialist at St Bartholomew’s Hospital since 2004. Previously worked in a urology ward as a senior nurse at St Bartholomew’s hospital mainly looking after pre and post-operative patients since 2002.

Special interests:

Runs Nurse led non- video Urodynamics; Prostate Assessment and Trial Without Catheter clinics providing patient support and education. Linked with Tower Hamlets Primary Care Trust also runs a prostate assessment clinic at Mile End hospital providing a patient service locally.  As a course leader, she teaches and manages the Barts and The London Male and Female catheterisation course which has proven to be a success both in the hospitals and in the community.  Working alongside medical staff, Melissa is involved in the Urological Emergency Course which is training for Junior doctors.
