Freedom of Information

Details of the research being conducted within the Trust is available on a national database called the NIHR Portfolio Database.

To search for research prior to September 2007, when the Portfolio Database became effective, please check the National Research Register.

We will make every effort to comply with your request, but will be guided by the following principles:

• If a request for information meets the criteria for being research and needs assessment by an NHS Research Ethics Committee, we will not process the request until we have written evidence that a recognised NHS Research Ethics Committee has approved the work.
• We will not provide information which may compromise commercial confidentiality or intellectual property.
• We will not provide information which may put staff involved in research at risk, or which may be patient identifiable.
