Clinical Research Centre

Welcome to the Clinical Research Centre (CRC) a joint venture between QMUL and the Barts Health NHS Trust.

Our dedicated Clinical Research Facility is based at the Royal London Hospital site. We offer research support and a range of services to all Trust and Medical School employees encompassing all therapeutic areas.

The centre is staffed by a highly experienced research team consisting of research nurses, clinical trial assistants and trial management. 

There are a number of discreet clinical areas in which patient visits are conducted. All areas and staff operate to publish standard operating procedures. These help ensure patient and staff safety, data quality, governance and regulatory compliance.

The CRC can work with investigators on trial set-up, recruitment, conduct of the trial and liaison with the sponsor representatives. We provide the highest quality of service. We are ISO9001 accredited and over the past few years we have successfully passed audits from both sponsors and regulatory bodies - including the MHRA.

The CRC conducts approximately 40 clinical research projects per year in a wide range of therapeutic areas.
