Research and academia

The academic renal unit has close links with the William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary University of London, and Charterhouse Square, London. We undertake many clinical studies in all disciplines within kidney disease. We also collaborate with other kidney centres in the UK and abroad for clinical trials to test the effect novel treatments for the benefit of kidney patients. There is also a dedicated team of scientists undertaking laboratory research. This has led to publications in peer reviewed journals and has attracted funding to further continue our research.
