Teaching programme

At Barts and The London Orthopaedic Centre we are committed to sharing our expertise and learning new techniques and treatments. We have a teaching programme for registrars with weekly sessions on Tuesdays (during term-time), at which staff and students are invited to give lectures.

Undergraduate and postgraduate study at Barts and The London, Queen Mary School of Medicine and Dentisty (QMUL)

Biomedical Engineering is a new, dynamic and multidisciplinary area of study. The MSc programme in Biomedical Engineering at Queen Mary is run by the Medical Engineering team which has an international leading reputation in research. It covers a wide range of topics including cell and tissue engineering, biomechanics, implant design, medical imaging, haemodynamics and biofluids, and computer modelling in biomedical sciences. Medical engineering at QMUL is a relatively new undergraduate discipline although we have been at the leading edge of several aspects of medical engineering research; the research focuses on tissue and cell engineering, orthopaedic implants, biofluids and microcirculation and rehabilitation engineering.
