The neurophysiological basis of pathological tremors, oscillatory coding of movement control, refinement of neurostimulation techniques and the nature of development of maximum muscle strength in health and disease.
Dr McAuley qualified in Medicine at Cambridge University and trained in Neurology at the Royal London Hospital and at the National Hospital, Queen Square. He took up his current appointment as Consultant Neurologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer in 2001.
At the Royal London Hospital, Dr McAuley leads the Neurostimulation service for treating refractory epilepsy, chronic pain and movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, tremor and dystonia.
