The medical, nursing, laboratory and physiotherapy staff at Barts and The London Haemophilia Centre are experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of inherited bleeding disorders.
We provide training and education to newly diagnosed patients and where appropriate teach patients venous access and administration of factor concentrates. For those requiring it, we can arrange home delivery of factor concentrates as well as community visits by hospital based nurse specialists.
We will provide appropriate treatment to cover emergency and elective procedures such as dental procedures, a wide range of surgical procedures, plus gynaecology and obstetrics. We have a number of combined clinics, which include other specialists in order to cater for the specific needs of people with inherited bleeding disorders, thereby reducing hospital attendance and improving communication.
Our specialist coagulation laboratory at The Royal London Hospital performs a wide range of investigations to help in the diagnosis and monitoring of patients with inherited bleeding disorders.
