Barts and The London Haemophilia Centre is based at The Royal London Hospital and covers all sites across the Trust. We offer a range of services for people with inherited or acquired bleeding disorders via our multi-disciplinary team. We have paediatric and adult out-patient and in-patient services. We also have a number of combined clinics, in particular women’s services, musculoskeletal/rheumatology, hepatology and HIV. Our laboratory provides a wide range of diagnostic services with 24-hour availability for a number of tests.

What we treat

  • Haemophilia A
  • Haemophilia B
  • Female haemophilia carriers
  • Von Willebrand disease
  • Factor II, V, VII, IX, XI, XII, XIII deficiency (rare inherited bleeding disorders)
  • Platelet disorders, for example Bernard Soulier, Glanzmanns and platelet storage and release defects
  • Acquired haemophilia

Choosing us

NHS patients in England can choose where and when they have hospital treatment. If you need specialist treatment, you have the right to choose between at least four hospitals or clinics.

If you require specialist treatment for an inherited or acquired bleeding disorder and would like to come to Barts and The London Haemophilia Centre, please speak to your GP or hospital doctor.
