Biography:

Shazia graduated from Aston University with an honours degree and completed her pre-registration training with Boots Opticians in 2002. She has been a visiting clinician at Cardiff and City University and worked at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle and Mayday University NHS trusts before joining Barts and The London NHS trust in 2007.  She is actively involved in the teaching of medical students in Ophthalmology and has developed the specialist contact lens service in the trust.
