Elderly Care
The elderly care service offers a comprehensive range of acute, rehabilitation and outpatient services to frail, elderly people. Specialist clinics include stroke, falls and wound care.
There is a six beded acute stroke unit on ward 3E at The Royal London for patients who have suffered – or are suspected of having suffered – a stroke. Older people who would benefit from further specialist neuro-rehabilitation in hospital are transferred to the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Mile End Hospital.
