NHS dentists are for everyone - you may even be eligible for free treatment

Seeing an NHS dentist in Tower Hamlets couldn’t be easier as there are over 30 practices accepting new patients that either work or live in the borough.

A map identifying all practices along with a free healthy mouth kit voucher, redeemable at any practice after an appointment, has been distributed to every household across the borough. The helpful, full colour map also provides contact information, details on fixed rates and free treatment eligibility, as well as information on which practices offer evening and weekend appointments, disabled access and bilingual staff.

The free healthy mouth kit voucher can be used from the beginning of June until 30 September 2010 by anyone that hasn’t been to the dentist within the past 12 months.

Associate director of primary and community care commissioning at NHS Tower Hamlets Vivienne Cencora has set up the scheme to encourage more residents to access the widely available network of NHS dental practices.

Vivienne said: “NHS dentists across Tower Hamlets are very accessible and are always accepting new patients. We hope that more people will take advantage of their services.”

Vouchers can also be obtained through all pharmacies across the borough.
