Root canal treatment

Root canal treatment (endodontic treatment) involves the removal of blood vessels and nerves from the root of a tooth using files. Root canal treatment is carried out if there is an infection or abscess. Infection in root canals can be caused by several things including deep tooth decay, trauma and sometimes gum disease.

Treatment is not painful and often takes a few appointments to complete.
