Biography:
After completion of general paediatric training, higher specialist paediatric endocrinology training was undertaken at Barts and the Royal London Hospital. I obtained a PhD in molecular endocrinology in Professor Adrian Clark’s laboratory in the William Harvey Research Institute and was appointed Senior Lecturer/Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology at Barts and the Royal London Hospital in July 2007.

Research programmes:
Paediatric Cushing’s syndrome. The molecular basis of genetic childhood endocrine diseases particularly familial glucocorticoid deficiency and the Triple A syndrome.
Special interests:
Paediatric Cushing’s syndrome, adrenal disorders and growth hormone insensitivity. As well as undertaking the general paediatric endocrinology clinics, I am responsible for the joint paediatric/adult endocrinology (transition) clinic, the paediatric endocrine neoplasia and Small for Gestational Age’ (SGA) clinics.
