Vital arts

Our Vital Arts department works with artists to develop creative projects in which young people, their parents, families and carers can participate whilst spending time in hospital. From live music to artists' residencies, story telling to animation and photography workshops, Vital Arts' Patient Participation Programme offers opportunities to explore new skills and ideas, develop relationships and escape anxieties through the stimulating and often unexpected processes of art, music and performance.
 
Vital Arts is a regular presence on the children's wards throughout the year, supporting activities in the school rooms, play rooms, and with young people at their bedsides.
