Biography:

Qualified in dentistry at Guy's Hospital and medicine at Guy's and St Thomas Hospitals. His basic surgical training was at King's College, Kent and Sussex, and Sidcup hospitals. Higher surgical training was at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital. Simon is an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is on the General Medical Council specialist list, and on the General Dental Council specialist list for surgical dentistry.

Areas of work:

Trauma, temporomandibular joint, post traumatic deformity, facial scar revision, day cases and general surgery

Research programmes:

Presented internationally at several scientific meetings and has published numerous papers in refereed scientific journals and textbooks.

Special interests:

The management of maxillofacial trauma, dento-alveolar and oral surgery, preprosthetic and implant surgery, facial pain, diseases and disorders of the Temporomandibular joint, and acquired soft and hard tissue facial deformity.
