Nutrition and dietetics

Specialist dietitians are available to advise you about eating throughout your cancer journey. The aim is to optimise your nutritional status and quality of life, with advice tailored to your individual specific needs and treatment plan.

Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team, dietitians will assess your nutritional requirements and offer advice on the appropriate nutritional support or dietary modification. They can arrange nutritional support in the community, and organise information and support for you, your family, and carers about appropriate nutrition in hospital and at home. They can provide information and guidance about current claims made about diet and cancer.

Referrals can be made by any member of the healthcare team or by the patient themselves:
