Dr Mariarita Calaminic has held the post of Consultant in Histopathology and Cytopathology at Barts and The London since June 1999.
Mariarita received her undergraduate degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Reggio in Italy and CCST in Histopathology, at the University of Messina in Italy and then her PhD in Pathology (Experimental Neuropathology), King's College, University of London. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. She has worked as a Lecturer/Honorary Specialist Registrar in Histopathology for the Department of Histopathology and Morbid Anatomy, Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, at King’s College, University of London as a EEC PhD Fellowship and at University of Messina, Italy as a Specialist Registrar in Histopathology
