The Royal London Hospital is home to London’s Air Ambulance (also known as the Helicopter Emergency Medical Services or HEMS), and as such, our specialists treat more complex trauma cases than any other centre in the UK. We therefore have a wide range of specialist orthopaedic expertise that benefits all of our patients.

Our orthopaedic specialists play a key role in the care of patients with multiple injuries, 80% of whom have orthopaedic problems.
