Barts and The London Charity is the independent registered charity for the three world-renowned hospitals of Barts and The London NHS Trust – Barts in The City (Britain’s oldest hospital – founded 1123), The Royal London in Whitechapel (founded 1740) and The London Chest in Bethnal Green (founded 1848).

As well as the hospitals themselves, the charity also supports Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry and the School of Community and Health Sciences at City University.

The charity also assists Tower Hamlets Primary Care Trust (including Mile End Hospital), Newham Primary Care Trust, City and Hackney Primary Care Trust and East London and The City Mental Health Trust (including St Clement’s Hospital) with the management of their charitable funds.

Day Of Fun In Victoria Park

Warmer and longer days announce the return of the annual Barts and The London Charity 10k race and fun runs! Celebrating its 19th birthday on June 14th 2009 in Victoria Park, the event has been given an impressive make-over with new features, categories and prizes.

As well as the usual individual registration, this year you can run as a team, so why not encourage your friends, family and colleagues to make up your five runners?  Because raising sponsorship is invaluable to our cause, the highest fundraisers will also be recognised and congratulated with prizes.

Make sure to mark June 14th 2009 in your calendars. For more information click here.
