Bereavement counselling
The City and East London Bereavement Service is the specialist bereavement counselling service for patients and their families at Barts and The London NHS Trust and for residents of Tower Hamlets.
If you know someone who needs support after a bereavement, you can contact the service. They offer counselling and befriending to families after the loss of a loved one. They also see couples following the death of a child.
They can arrange appointments within six to eight weeks. Contact them on 020 7247 1209.
For further information visit www.bereavement.org.uk. The website also lists bereavement services for people who live in other parts of London.
The Trust holds an Annual Service of Remembrance at St Paul’s Cathedral.
Has someone you loved died? People of all faiths are welcome to attend this service – which will include readings and poems from a variety of religions.
There is no need to book.
