Non-urgent advice and guidance for GPs
Please note, the majority of specialties now provide non-urgent advice and guidance for GPs and other referring clinicians either through Choose and Book or via nhs.net email (please click on the link for email addresses). Services will respond to queries within five working days.
In accordance with BMA guidance and to meet Principle seven of the Data Protection Act, confidential patient information, or any data included which may identify a patient, should not be sent via email as it may not be secure. However, if you are emailing to and from an NHS secure email, patient NHS numbers only may be used as the sole means of identification (as per Caldicott Principles).
