Our services

In addition to providing emergency dental services, Barts and The London Dental Hospital also offers care in the areas listed below. Please click on the links below in blue to find out more about our individual services.

• Endodontics is involved in restoring the health of the tooth pulp and tissues surrounding the root of the tooth. This is also known as root canal treatment.
• Periodontics is the treatment of the supporting structures of the teeth (ie gums and bone) and includes treatment of gum disease.
• Prosthodontics  is involved in the restoration of teeth and includes the use of veneers, crowns, bridges and dentures.
• Children’s dentistry  is available for children with complex medical conditions and those who due to a physical problem require general anaesthesia.
• Orthodontics  is the treatment of crooked teeth which is sometimes complicated by mismatching jaw bone and soft tissues.
• Oral medicine deals with medical conditions affecting the mouth.

We also have multidisciplinary teams of specialists who  treat patients with hypodontia, oral cancer and heart conditions. The excellent care patients receive is due to team members bringing together knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm to provide specialised treatment plans for patients and their dentists or orthodontists to carry out.
