Our oral medicine service includes a team of specialists who are qualified in both medicine and dentistry. Our specialists care for patients with acute, chronic or recurrent medically-related disorders of the oral region – this includes the diagnosis, surgical treatment and non-surgical care of patients with oral mucosal disorders and disorders of the salivary glands.
For some patients who present with severe oral blistering, persistent oral ulcers and oral white patches, this can sometimes be related to another disease or infection. In these rare cases, our oral medicine experts will link with other experts from Barts and The London, to provide these patients with complete care that deals with every aspect of their disease or infection and the associated symptoms.
