Barts and The London Allergy Centre
Barts and The London hospitals produce some of the best clinical outcomes in the UK - evidenced by one of the best survival rate records in the NHS.
Our three hospitals – St Bartholomew’s (known as Barts) by St Paul’s in the City, The Royal London in Whitechapel and The London Chest in Bethnal Green – have made and continue to make an outstanding contribution to modern medicine.
The hospitals’ full portfolio of specialist centres includes the country’s biggest heart attack centre, leading edge cancer specialties, and one of the UK’s largest children’s hospitals, as well as our highly successful fertility centre.
Home to London’s Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), Barts and The London is also one of the capital’s leading trauma and emergency care centres, offering surgical expertise that also benefits patients requiring more routine procedures.
Waiting times to see an allergy specialist at Barts and The London Allergy Centre are well below the national targets of three months. Referrals should be made by your GP and appointments are given according to clinical urgency. The latest waiting time information is that we see non-urgent patients within six weeks of being referred to the centre. All results are communicated back to your GP.
