The Trust Disability Equality Scheme sets out how we will eliminate discrimination and promote disability equality for staff and patients and how we comply with the Disability Discrimination Act 2005.

The Disability Network
The Trust has a Disability Network which provides a forum for addressing issues relating to the recruitment and retention of staff with disabilities and meeting the needs of patients with disabilities. Its objectives cover four main areas: consultation with and support of employees with disabilities; employment advice; training; and accessible service delivery.
The Trust has been a disability symbol user since 1997. This means that the Trust is assessed as meeting five key commitments in relation to the recruitment and retention of staff with disabilities. |
