Mission statement

The Supplies function will provide a high level professional procurement service in the acquisition of high quality equipment, materials and services, and embrace the necessary changes to modernise and improve its service as a contributor to the provision of high quality patient care.

This will be achieved by:

  • Promoting the department’s profile - demonstrating the contribution it makes to the delivery of high quality patient care
  • Developing improved methods of procurement and supply chain management, promoting their use within the Trust
  • Increasing the level of professional competency through education and individual skills development programme
  • The implementation of electronic trading system to facilitate fully E-enabled processes and procedures
