Research and academia

Barts and The London Centre for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at is at the forefront of research and we are continually pushing the boundaries to develop new and successful treatments. Many of our team of specialists also work as scientists to research and investigate innovative treatments and technologies.

We work closely with our academic colleagues at Barts and The London Medicine and Dentistry, which is one of the most active, respected and well-known academic departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the country.

We have several close collaborative links with a number of local, regional and national clinical and academic departments involving research, clinical treatment and undergraduate teaching. Peer reviewed publications are frequent and recent specific studies have related to trauma, cancer and tracheosotomy outcomes.
